Sunny ClownPosted by Alla on Dec 29, 2008 in Featured Articles, People, Uncategorized | Please comment
This is a special mosaic painting which returns everyone of us back to childhood, in a magic and bright world of our imagination. This work was made from personally collected Atlantic seashells in Brooklyn. At the beginning of my work I use all my treasures as a pieces of puzzle. Following my idea, each shell can find it own place. I choose and prepared the black color back and made gold acrylic
ornament which helped me to show necessary atmosphere for my work.
The bright and funny clown looks very contracting on black background. All my seashell in this work covered with acrylic painting because they don’t have a natural attractive color and originally are dull, colorless but have unusual form shaped by ocean water.
Materials: Clams, oysters, scallops and mussels shells.
