Yesterday, March 27 was open the unique exhibition “Joy of Seashell Art”at Kings Highway Library 2115 Ocean Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, 11229. The gallery will be open from March 27 – April 26. During two Sundays April 3 and April 10 from 14:00 to 16:00 you have opportunity to talk about artworks made out from natural seashells, corals, sea stars, gar scales and receive answers for any questions from artist personally.
The interesting and unusual three-dimensional art works were created by talented award winning seashell artist Alla Baksanskaya.
“ Fortune teller” 39.5” x 25”
This work is an acrylic painting and seashell mosaic. In the middle on the painting locates the artist which is predicting her own future on the canvas. She use seven main spices to express her feelings: Love, Joy, Happiness, Laugh and Loneliness, Tears, Sadness. Whole world divides on white-positive and black-negative parts. Artist tries to avoid gray color in her life…
Mosaic was made with the tiny White Littorina seashells, with average size ¼ “.
“Be myaoo Valentine…” 21” x 12”
This is humorous kitty-cat seashell mosaic and painting, which was made for Valentine Day. Mosaic was created from natural polish clam pearl seashells

This is seashell mosaic and acrylic painting on the bamboo plate. Love story between Sun and Moon. In this work were used many an exotic seashells, tiny sea stars and also gar scales.
Miniature and delicate seashell mosaic and acrylic painting. This work was made from natural color, polish “donkey ears” pearl seashells for daisy’s petals and fish bones for stems.
