An exotic vacation on the Grenada

Grenada is the beautiful Caribbean island with summer time during a whole year with average climate of 80 F or 23 C!

My family spent our ten days vacation in this green Paradise with amazing nature. I can’t forget the exiting car driving through the wild, narrow and curvy road, up and down between the hills.

Grenada known as the Spice Island of the Caribbean, the scents of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, mace, turmeric, cocoa, vanilla and ginger; exotic flowers and fruits, tropical birds, rainforests and waterfalls, also over 40 white sand beaches with turquoise waters and shells…

My husband and two sons enjoy their time with swimming and snorkeling to explore reef formations with a vast range of marine life which included angelfish, morays, sea urchins, mollusks, corals among many others. It is a mecca for divers!

Grenada has a rich history and was first sighted by Christopher Columbus in 1498. Between 1609 and 1783, Grenada changed hands between the French and the British until the Treaty of Versailles Awarded Grenada to British.

We spent a day by walking and looking the town and capital of the island of St George with Spice Market, Cruise Ship Terminal and Fort George, made several  visits to the St. George’s

University. It was a special place on the island for my family, because my older son became a student in this Medical school from this year.

St. George’s University is a very big academic looking town with 51 different buildings with their own buses for students. Impressive event in Medical school was a White Coat ceremony for all newcomers. Special greeting from prime minister of the island for future doctors…

Unforgettable memory we bought at home after the annual Island’s an exotic and bright

Parade which took place in August. It was the unique show with costumes and  dancing under the open sky…

We took a gorgeous round the island tour through the Grenada and saw Grand Etang Rainforest Reserve, participated in weekly festival Fish Friday and tasted the different local fish, visited  Rum Factory, Old Pearle Airport, Town of Greenville or Rainbow city, had chance to swim in crystal pool in Royal Mt. Carmel Waterfall.

My favorite part of our journey was a Chocolate Factory when we could to know about a long process to work with chocolate beans, taste a different kind of chocolate and also drink a delicious chocolate tea…

My seashell and coral personal collection increased on the gorgeous white sand BBC Beach, Grand Anse Beach and also on Aquarium Beach close to Rex Hotel.

Now I open for myself destination which I obviously will like to visit, at least during following two years of our lives…
