73 Annual Sanibel Island Florida Shell Show

On the first week of the March starting Thursday, March 4 th- opened the 73 rd Annual Sanibel Shell Show. This is the longest running show of its kind anywhere. With attendees from all over the world, this three day event has no equal. Sanibel Island is the perfect island paradise to serve as home to the all sea shell lovers. The Sanibel Community Association and the Sanibel- Captiva Shell Club organized the great juried Show inside the Community House and introduced exhibit that feature both scientific and artistic divisions under one roof. These exhibits which are arranged in competitive categories, are brought to the show by exhibitors who came from all over the country, from Florida to Maine, from Pennsylvania to California. It is my second time participation in this big and a very popular Sea Shell Show. This year I participated in the professional artistic division again with my 9 new works and increased my personal award collection with the new blue first place ribbon. Please see my pictures from the show. A lot of talented artists presented their works at the show. Sailors valentines, seashell mirrors, wall d├ęcor , flowers made only from seashell were proudly presented for the public. This was a real treat for all attendees, young and not so.
